Or tutti i capi della gente di guerra, ch' erano per la campagna, colla lor gente, avendo inteso che il re di Babilonia aveva costituito Ghedalia, figliuolo di Ahicam, sopra il paese, e che gli aveva dati in governo uomini, e donne, e piccoli fanciulli; e questi, de' più poveri del paese, d'infra quelli che non erano stati menati in cattività in Babilonia;

Y como oyeron todos los príncipes del ejército que estaba por el campo, ellos y sus hombres, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam sobre la tierra, y que le había encomendado los hombres, y las mujeres, y los niños, y los pobres de la tierra, que no fueron trasportados á Babilonia;

Phàm những người đầu đảng còn giữ chốn thôn quê cùng thủ hạ mình nghe rằng vua Ba-by-lôn đã lập Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam, làm tổng đốc trong đất, và nghe vua đã giao phó cho người những đàn ông, đàn bà, trẻ con, cùng những kẻ rất nghèo khó trong đất, chưa bị đem qua Ba-by-lôn làm phu tù.
וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ֩ כָל־שָׂרֵ֨י הַחֲיָלִ֜ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֗ה הֵ֚מָּה וְאַנְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם כִּֽי־הִפְקִ֧יד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֛ל אֶת־גְּדַלְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־אֲחִיקָ֖ם בָּאָ֑רֶץ וְכִ֣י ׀ הִפְקִ֣יד אִתּ֗וֹ אֲנָשִׁ֤ים וְנָשִׁים֙ וָטָ֔ף וּמִדַּלַּ֣ת הָאָ֔רֶץ מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־הָגְל֖וּ בָּבֶֽלָה׃
