δεισι-δαίμων , -ον (δείδω, to fear; δαίμων, deity ) reverent to the deity, religious ; compar. -μονεστέρους (AV, too superstitious , R, txt., somewhat superstitious , a sense in wh. the word is sometimes used; cf.
