وَقَالَ لَهُمَا بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ: «لَيْتَنَا مُتْنَا بِيَدِ ٱلرَّبِّ فِي أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، إِذْ كُنَّا جَالِسِينَ عِنْدَ قُدُورِ ٱللَّحْمِ نَأْكُلُ خُبْزًا لِلشَّبَعِ. فَإِنَّكُمَا أَخْرَجْتُمَانَا إِلَى هَذَا ٱلْقَفْرِ لِكَيْ تُمِيتَا كُلَّ هَذَا ٱلْجُمْهُورِ بِٱلْجُوعِ».
``ထာဝရဘုရားသည်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို အီဂျစ်ပြည်၌ သေစေခဲ့လျှင်သာ၍ကောင်း မည်။ ထိုပြည်တွင်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်အမဲ ဟင်းနှင့်မုန့်ကိုဝအောင်စားရကြ၏။ ယခု မှာမူအကျွန်ုပ်တို့အားလုံးအစာငတ်၍ သေစေခြင်းငှာ၊ ဤတောကန္တာရသို့ပို့ဆောင် ခဲ့ပါသည်တကား'' ဟုညည်းညူအပြစ် တင်ကြ၏။

و بنیاسرائیل بدیشان گفتند: «کاش که در زمین مصر بهدست خداوند مرده بودیم، وقتی که نزد دیگهای گوشت مینشستیم و نان را سیر میخوردیم، زیراکه ما را بدین صحرا بیرون آوردید، تا تمامی این جماعت را به گرسنگی بکشید.»

І мовляли їм синове Ізрайлеві: Лучче б нам було повмірати од руки Господньої в Египецькій землї, як седимо було круг казана з мясивом, як їмо було хлїба до схочу. Бо вивели ви нас у пустиню сю, щоб голодом поморити всю громаду.
nói cùng hai người rằng: Oâi! thà rằng chúng tôi chịu chết về tay Đức Giê-hô-va tại xứ Ê-díp-tô, khi còn ngồi kề nồi thịt và ăn bánh chán hê! Vì hai người dẫn dắt chúng tôi vào nơi đồng vắng nầy đều bị chết đói.
וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ אֲלֵהֶ֜ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מִֽי־יִתֵּ֨ן מוּתֵ֤נוּ בְיַד־יְהוָה֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּשִׁבְתֵּ֨נוּ֙ עַל־סִ֣יר הַבָּשָׂ֔ר בְּאָכְלֵ֥נוּ לֶ֖חֶם לָשֹׂ֑בַע כִּֽי־הוֹצֵאתֶ֤ם אֹתָ֨נוּ֙ אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה לְהָמִ֛ית אֶת־כָּל־הַקָּהָ֥ל הַזֶּ֖ה בָּרָעָֽב׃ ס
