E mi ha detto: Deh! lasciami andare; perciocchè noi facciamo un sacrificio della nostra nazione nella città; e il mio fratello istesso mi ha comandato che io ci andassi; ora dunque, se io sono in grazia tua, lascia, ti prego, che io fugga, e visiti i miei fratelli; perciò egli non è venuto alla tavola del re.

و گفت: تمنا اینکه مرا رخصت بدهی زیرا خاندان ما را در شهر قربانی است وبرادرم مرا امر فرموده است، پس اگر الان در نظرتو التفات یافتم، مرخص بشوم تا برادران خودراببینم. از این جهت به سفره پادشاه نیامده است.»

mà rằng: Xin để tôi đi; vì nhà chúng tôi có một sự tế tự trong thành, mà anh tôi đã dặn tôi phải đi đến. Vậy bây giờ, nếu tôi được ơn trước mặt người, xin cho phép tôi lập tức đi đến đó đặng thăm các anh tôi. Aáy bởi cớ đó người không đến ngồi bàn.
וַיֹּ֡אמֶר שַׁלְּחֵ֣נִי נָ֡א כִּ֣י זֶבַח֩ מִשְׁפָּחָ֨ה לָ֜נוּ בָּעִ֗יר וְה֤וּא צִוָּֽה־לִי֙ אָחִ֔י וְעַתָּ֗ה אִם־מָצָ֤אתִי חֵן֙ בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ אִמָּ֥לְטָה נָּ֖א וְאֶרְאֶ֣ה אֶת־אֶחָ֑י עַל־כֵּ֣ן לֹא־בָ֔א אֶל־שֻׁלְחַ֖ן הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ ס
