فَقَالَ ٱلْمَلِكُ: «هَلْ يَدُ يُوآبَ مَعَكِ فِي هَذَا كُلِّهِ؟» فَأَجَابَتِ ٱلْمَرْأَةُ وَقَالَتْ: «حَيَّةٌ هِيَ نَفْسُكَ يَا سَيِّدِي ٱلْمَلِكَ، لَا يُحَادُ يَمِينًا أَوْ يَسَارًا عَنْ كُلِّ مَا تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ سَيِّدِي ٱلْمَلِكُ، لِأَنَّ عَبْدَكَ يُوآبَ هُوَ أَوْصَانِي، وَهُوَ وَضَعَ فِي فَمِ جَارِيَتِكَ كُلَّ هَذَا ٱلْكَلَامِ.

ויאמר המלך היד יואב אתך בכל זאת ותען האשה ותאמר חי נפשך אדני המלך אם אש להמין ולהשמיל מכל אשר דבר אדני המלך כי עבדך יואב הוא צוני והוא שם בפי שפחתך את כל הדברים האלה׃
E il re disse: Non ha Ioab tenuto mano a farti far tutto questo? E la donna rispose, e disse: Come l'anima tua vive, o re, mio signore, ei non si può sfuggire nè a destra, nè a sinistra, di cosa alcuna che il re, mio signore, ha detta; perciocchè Ioab, tuo servitore, è quel che mi ha ordinato questo; ed egli stesso ha poste in bocca alla tua servente tutte queste parole .

Et ait rex: Numquid manus Joab tecum est in omnibus istis? Respondit mulier, et ait: Per salutem animæ tuæ, domine mi rex, nec ad sinistram, nec ad dexteram est ex omnibus his quæ locutus est dominus meus rex: servus enim tuus Joab, ipse præcepit mihi, et ipse posuit in os ancillæ tuæ omnia verba hæc.

И сказал царь: не рука ли Иоава во всем этом с тобою? И отвечала женщина и сказала: да живет душа твоя, господин мой царь; ни направо, ни налево нельзя уклониться от того, что сказал господин мой, царь; точно, раб твой Иоав приказал мне, и он вложил в уста рабы твоей все эти слова;

El rey le preguntó: ¿No tiene Joab algo que ver con todo esto? La mujer respondió: ¡Tan cierto como que su Majestad vive, que no hay forma de escapar de la verdad de sus palabras! Fue su servidor Joab quien me ordenó venir y me dijo lo que tenía que decir.
Y el rey dijo: ¿No anda la mano de Joab contigo en todas estas cosas? La mujer respondió y dijo: Vive tu alma, rey señor mío, que no hay que apartarse a derecha ni a izquierda de todo lo que mi señor el rey ha hablado; porque tu siervo Joab me mandó, y él puso en boca de tu sierva todas estas palabras.
Y el rey dijo: ¿No está la mano de Joab contigo en todo esto? Y la mujer en respuesta dijo: Por la vida de tu alma, mi señor el rey, nadie puede ir a la mano derecha ni a la izquierda por nada de lo que dijo el rey: tu siervo Joab me dio órdenes, y Puso todas estas palabras en mi boca:

Vua hỏi: Có phải Giô-áp đã đặt tay vào mọi điều đó chăng? Người đàn bà thưa rằng: Vua chúa tôi ôi, tôi chỉ mạng sống của vua mà thề, người ta không thế xít qua bên hữu hoặc bên tả, đặng khỏi điều vua chúa tôi mới nói đó. Phải, ấy là Giô-áp, tôi tớ của vua, đã truyền lịnh cho tôi, và để các lời nầy trong miệng con đòi vua.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ הֲיַ֥ד יוֹאָ֛ב אִתָּ֖ךְ בְּכָל־זֹ֑את וַתַּ֣עַן הָאִשָּׁ֣ה וַתֹּ֡אמֶר חֵֽי־נַפְשְׁךָ֩ אֲדֹנִ֨י הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אִם־אִ֣שׁ ׀ לְהֵמִ֣ין וּלְהַשְׂמִ֗יל מִכֹּ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּר֙ אֲדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ כִּֽי־עַבְדְּךָ֤ יוֹאָב֙ ה֣וּא צִוָּ֔נִי וְה֗וּא שָׂ֚ם בְּפִ֣י שִׁפְחָֽתְךָ֔ אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
