И дође Гад к Давиду, и каза му говорећи: Хоћеш ли ти да буде седам гладних година у земљи твојој, или да бежиш три месеца од непријатеља својих и они да те гоне, или да буде три дана помор у твојој земљи? Сад промисли и гледај шта ћу одговорити Ономе који ме је послао.

فَأَتَى جَادُ إِلَى دَاوُدَ وَأَخبَرهُ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «أَتَأْتِي عَلَيْكَ سَبْعُ سِنِي جُوعٍ فِي أَرْضِكَ، أَمْ تَهْرُبُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ أَمَامَ أَعْدَائِكَ وَهُمْ يَتْبَعُونَكَ، أَمْ يَكُونُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَبَأٌ فِي أَرْضِكَ؟ فَٱلْآنَ ٱعْرِفْ وَٱنْظُرْ مَاذَا أَرُدُّ جَوَابًا عَلَى مُرْسِلِي».
پس جاد نزد داود آمده، او را مخبر ساخت و گفت: «آیا هفت سال قحط در زمینت برتو عارض شود، یا سه ماه از حضور دشمنان خود فرار نمایی وایشان تو را تعاقب کنند، یا وبا سه روز در زمین توواقع شود. پس الان تشخیص نموده، ببین که نزدفرستنده خود چه جواب ببرم.»
ဂဒ် သည် ဒါဝိဒ် ထံ သို့သွား ၍ ၊ ပြည် တော်၌ သုံးနှစ်ပတ်လုံးအစာအာဟာရ ခေါင်းပါး စေရမည်လော။ သို့မဟုတ် ရန်သူ တို့သည် သုံး လ ပတ်လုံးလိုက် ၍ ကိုယ်တော် ပြေး တော်မူရမည်လော။ သို့မဟုတ် ပြည် တော်၌ သုံး ရက် ပတ်လုံးကာလနာ ရောက် စေရမည်လော။ အကျွန်ုပ် ကို စေလွှတ် တော်မူသောသူအား အကျွန်ုပ်သည် အဘယ်သို့ ပြန် လျှောက်ရမည်ကို စဉ်းစား ဆင်ခြင်တော်မူပါဟု လျှောက် လေ၏”
갓이 다윗에게 이르러 고하여 가로되 `왕의 땅에 칠년 기근이 있을 것이니이까 혹시 왕이 왕의 대적에게 쫓겨 석달을 그 앞에서 도망하실 것이니이까 혹시 왕의 땅에 삼일동안 온역이 있을 것이니이까 왕은 생각하여 보고 나를 보내신 이에게 대답하게 하소서'
そこでガドはダビデのところに来て、彼に告げた。「あなたの地に七年間の飢饉が来るのがよいでしょうか。それとも、敵があなたを追う間、あなたが敵の前から三か月間逃げるのがよいでしょうか。それとも、あなたの地に三日間の疫病があるのがよいでしょうか。今、考えて、わたしを遣わされた方にどのような返事を返すべきか答えてください。」
于是迦得来到大卫那里，告诉他说：“是要七年的饥荒临到你的地吗？还是你在敌人追赶你时，在他们面前逃跑三个月？还是你的地要有三天的瘟疫？现在你要回答，并考虑我该怎样回复那差我来的。”

Veio, pois, Gade a Davi, e notificou-lhe, e disse-lhe: Queres que te venham sete anos de fome em tua terra? Ou que fujas três meses diante de teus inimigos, e que eles te persigam? Ou que três dias haja pestilência em tua terra? Pensa agora, e olha o que responderei ao que me enviou.

Gad kam zu David, zeigte es ihm an und sprach: Willst du, daß sieben Jahre Hungersnot in dein Land komme, oder daß du drei Monate lang vor deinen Widersachern fliehen müssest und sie dich verfolgen, oder daß drei Tage lang Pestilenz in deinem Lande sei? So besinne dich nun und siehe, was ich dem antworten soll, der mich gesandt hat!

So Gad came to Dovid, and told him, and said unto him, Shall shalosh shanim of ra'av (famine) come unto thee in thy land? Or wilt thou flee shloshah chodashim before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? Or that there be shloshet yamim dever (three days of pestilence) in thy land? Now consider, and see what answer I shall return to Him that sent me.
