Der König antwortete und sprach: Die Sache steht fest nach dem Gesetz der Meder und Perser, welches unwiderruflich ist.
(6:13) Toen kwamen zij nader, en spraken voor den koning van het gebod des konings: Hebt gij niet een gebod getekend, dat alle man, die in dertig dagen van enigen god of mens iets verzoeken zou, behalve van u, o koning! in den kuil der leeuwen zou geworpen worden? И отидоше те рекоше цару за царску забрану: Ниси ли написао заповест, да ко би се год замолио коме год богу или човеку за тридесет дана, осим теби, царе, да се баци у јаму лавовску? Цар одговори и рече: Тако је по закону мидском и персијском, који је непроменљив.

فَتَقَدَّمُوا وَتَكَلَّمُوا قُدَّامَ ٱلْمَلِكِ فِي نَهْيِ ٱلْمَلِكِ: «أَلَمْ تُمْضِ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلِكُ نَهْيًا بِأَنَّ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ يَطْلُبُ مِنْ إِلَهٍ أَوْ إِنْسَانٍ حَتَّى ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا إِلَّا مِنْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلِكُ يُطْرَحُ فِي جُبِّ ٱلْأُسُودِ؟» فَأَجَابَ ٱلْمَلِكُ وَقَالَ: «ٱلْأَمْرُ صَحِيحٌ كَشَرِيعَةِ مَادِي وَفَارِسَ ٱلَّتِي لَا تُنْسَخُ».
پس آن اشخاص جمع شده، دانیال را یافتند که نزد خدای خودمسالت و تضرع مینماید.

이에 그들이 나아가서 왕의 금령에 대하여 왕께 아뢰되 왕이여 왕이 이미 금령에 어인을 찍어서 이제부터 삼십 일 동안에 누구든지 왕 외에 어느 신에게나 사람에게 구하면 사자굴에 던져 넣기로 하지 아니하였나이까 왕이 대답하여 가로되 이 일이 적실하니 메대와 바사의 변개치 아니하는 규례대로 된 것이니라
