וְעֹודֶ֣נּוּ לֹֽא־יָשׁ֗וּב וְשֻׁ֡בָה אֶל־גְּדַלְיָ֣ה בֶן־אֲחִיקָ֣ם בֶּן־שָׁפָ֡ן אֲשֶׁר֩ הִפְקִ֨יד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֜ל בְּעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה וְשֵׁ֤ב אִתֹּו֙ בְּתֹ֣וךְ הָעָ֔ם אֹ֠ו אֶל־כָּל־הַיָּשָׁ֧ר בְּעֵינֶ֛יךָ לָלֶ֖כֶת לֵ֑ךְ וַיִּתֶּן־לֹ֧ו רַב־טַבָּחִ֛ים אֲרֻחָ֥ה וּמַשְׂאֵ֖ת וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵֽהוּ׃
ועודנו לא ישוב ושבה אל גדליה בן אחיקם בן שפן אשר הפקיד מלך בבל בערי יהודה ושב אתו בתוך העם או אל כל הישר בעיניך ללכת לך ויתן לו רב טבחים ארחה ומשאת וישלחהו׃
وَإِذْ كَانَ لَمْ يَرْجِعْ بَعْدُ، قَالَ: «ٱرْجِعْ إِلَى جَدَلْيَا بْنِ أَخِيقَامَ بْنِ شَافَانَ ٱلَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مَلِكُ بَابِلَ عَلَى مُدُنِ يَهُوذَا، وَأَقِمْ عِنْدَهُ فِي وَسْطِ ٱلشَّعْبِ، وَٱنْطَلِقْ إِلَى حَيْثُ كَانَ مُسْتَقِيمًا فِي عَيْنَيْكَ أَنْ تَنْطَلِقَ». وَأَعْطَاهُ رَئِيسُ ٱلشُّرَطِ زَادًا وَهَدِيَّةً وَأَطْلَقَهُ.
و وقتی که او هنوز برنگشته بود (وی راگفت ): «نزد جدلیا ابن اخیقام بن شافان که پادشاه بابل او را بر شهرهای یهودا نصب کرده است برگرد و نزد او در میان قوم ساکن شو یا هر جایی که میخواهی بروی برو.» پس رئیس جلادان اورا توشه راه و هدیه داد و او را رها نمود.
ယေရမိသည်ကိုယ်ရံတော်မှူးထံမှ မထွက်မှီ၊ ကိုယ်ရံတော်မှူးက၊ ဗာဗုလုန် ရှင် ဘုရင်သည် ယုဒ ပြည်နယ် တွင် ၊ မြို့အုပ်အရာ၌ခန့်ထားတော်မူသောရှာဖန် ၏သား ဖြစ်သော အဟိကံ ၏သား ဂေဒလိ ထံ သို့ပြန်၍၊ ပြည်သား များနှင့်အတူ နေ ပါလော့။ သို့မဟုတ် ၊ စိတ် ရှိသည်အတိုင်း သွား ပါလော့ဟုဆိုလျက်၊ စားစရိတ် နှင့် လက်ဆောင် ကိုပေး ၍ လွှတ် လိုက်လေ၏။

Da er sich aber noch nicht entschließen konnte, [sprach er zu ihm]: So kehre zurück zu Gedalja, dem Sohn Achikams, des Sohnes Saphans, welchen der babylonische König über die Städte Judas gesetzt hat, und bleibe bei ihm unter dem Volk, oder gehe, wohin es dir gefällt! Now if you remain, he said, Go back also to Gedalyah ben Achikam ben Shaphan, whom Melech Bavel hath made governor over the cities of Yehudah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth yashar unto thee to go. So the captain of the imperial guard gave him provision [of food] and a present, and let him go.
