فَقَالَ جِدْعُونُ لِلهِ: «لَا يَحْمَ غَضَبُكَ عَلَيَّ فَأَتَكَلَّمَ هَذِهِ ٱلْمَرَّةَ فَقَطْ. أَمْتَحِنُ هَذِهِ ٱلْمَرَّةَ فَقَطْ بِٱلْجَزَّةِ. فَلْيَكُنْ جَفَافٌ فِي ٱلْجَزَّةِ وَحْدَهَا وَعَلَى كُلِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيَكُنْ طَلٌّ».

Opet Gideon reče Bogu: “Ne razgnjevi se na me što ti progovaram još jednom. Dopusti mi da još ovaj put pokušam s runom: neka samo runo bude suho, a neka po svoj zemlji bude rosa!”
Řekl také Gedeon Bohu: Nerozpaluj se prchlivost tvá proti mně, že promluvím ještě jednou. Prosím, nechažť zkusím ještě jednou na rouně. Nechť jest, prosím, samo rouno suché, a na vší zemi rosa.

En Gideon zeide tot God: Uw toorn ontsteke niet tegen mij, dat ik alleenlijk ditmaal spreke; laat mij toch alleenlijk ditmaal met het vlies verzoeken; er zij toch droogte op het vlies alleen, en op de ganse aarde zij dauw.
Daarop sprak Gedeon tot God: Laat uw toorn niet tegen mij ontbranden, wanneer ik U voor een tweede keer vraag: Laat mij nog eens een proef nemen met de vacht; maar nu blijve de vacht alleen droog, en de hele grond worde bedauwd.

Et Gédéon dit à Dieu : Que ta colère ne s’embrase pas contre moi, et je parlerai seulement cette fois : encore une seule fois, je te prie, je ferai un essai avec la toison ; je te prie qu’il n’y ait de la sécheresse que sur la toison, et que sur toute la terre il y ait de la rosée.
Gédéon dit encore à Dieu: Que ta colère ne s'embrase point contre moi, et je ne parlerai plus que cette fois. Je te prie, que je fasse une épreuve avec la toison, pour cette fois seulement; que la toison seule reste sèche, et que la rosée soit sur tout le sol.

Und Gideon sprach zu Gott: Dein Zorn entbrenne nicht wider mich! Und ich will nur noch diesmal reden. Laß mich es doch nur noch diesmal mit dem Vließe versuchen: Möge doch Trockenheit sein auf dem Vließe allein, und auf dem ganzen Boden sei Tau.
Und Gideon sprach zu Gott: Dein Zorn ergrimme nicht wider mich, daß ich noch einmal rede. Ich will's nur noch einmal versuchen mit dem Fell. Es sei allein auf dem Fell trocken und der Tau auf der ganzen Erde.
Aber Gideon sprach zu Gott: Ach, laß deinen Zorn nicht über mich ausbrechen, wenn ich nur diesmal noch rede! Laß mich nur dies eine Mal noch einen Versuch mit dem Vließe machen: es soll nun das Vließ allein trocken bleiben, überall sonst auf dem Erdboden aber Tau sein!
Und Gideon sprach zu Gott: Dein Zorn entbrenne nicht wider mich, daß ich noch einmal rede; ich will es nur noch einmal versuchen mit dem Fell: Das Fell allein möge trocken bleiben und Tau liegen auf dem ganzen übrigen Boden!

E Gedeone disse a Dio: L'ira tua non si accenda contro a me , ed io parlerò ancora sol questa volta; deh! permetti ch'io faccia ancora questa sola volta prova col vello; deh! sia il vello solo asciutto, e sia la rugiada sopra tutta la terra.
E Gedeone disse a Dio: “Non s’accenda l’ira tua contro di me; io non parlerò più che questa volta. Deh, ch’io faccia ancora un’altra prova sola col vello: resti asciutto soltanto il vello, e ci sia della rugiada su tutto il terreno”.

Gideão disse a Deus: “Que a tua ira não se acenda contra mim; e falarei apenas mais esta vez. Por favor, deixa-me fazer um teste só mais esta vez com o velo. Que o velo fique seco, e sobre toda a terra ao redor haja orvalho.”
Mas Gideão disse a Deus: Não se acenda tua ira contra mim, se ainda falar esta vez: somente provarei agora outra vez com o velo. Rogo-te que a secura seja somente no velo, e o orvalho sobre a terra.
