主はギデオンに言われた。「民はまだ多すぎる。彼らを水辺へ連れ下れ。そこでわたしがあなたのために彼らをより分ける。わたしが『この者はあなたと行く』と言う者は行き、『この者はあなたと行かない』と言う者は行かない。」
耶和华对基甸说：“人还是太多。你带他们下到水边，我要在那里为你试验他们。我对你说‘这人可以跟你去’的，他就可以跟你去；我对你说‘这人不可跟你去’的，他就不可去。”
