Critical

Among the best-attested kings of Judah, named by the Assyrian king who besieged him and confirmed by engineering and administrative remains in Jerusalem.

Attestation. Sennacherib's Prism, which records shutting Hezekiah up "like a caged bird"; the Siloam Tunnel inscription; LMLK storage-jar seals; and a clay bulla bearing his name found in the Ophel excavations.
